Abstract

Yoga, an ancient Indian system of physical, mental, and spiritual practices, has gained global recognition as an effective approach to enhancing health and well-being. In recent decades, scientific investigations have demonstrated the positive impact of yoga on physical fitness, mental health, stress management, and quality of life. The present paper examines the multidimensional benefits of yoga and explores its relevance in addressing contemporary health challenges. Through a review of existing literature, the study highlights the role of yoga in promoting holistic health, preventing lifestyle diseases, and fostering psychological resilience. The paper further discusses yoga's contribution to sustainable human development and its integration into educational and healthcare systems. Findings indicate that regular yoga practice contributes significantly to physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being, making it a valuable tool for achieving sustainable health outcomes. The study concludes that yoga should be promoted as an integral component of public health strategies and educational curricula.
